My passion for IT began at a young age with the Commodore 64. Although initially limited to computer games, it sparked my curiosity about technology, from analog modems and the Tulip AT 386 PC, to the internet and handheld devices.
After completing my studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam, with a specialization in information management, I began my career in IT consultancy. In 2012, I joined QDelft, which was later acquired by Netcompany in 2019. Through establishing contracts, hiring the right employees, and implementing large IT projects, we built a successful company founded on long-term relationships with our clients.
Aside from work and family, sports are my greatest passion. Over the years, I&#8217;ve completed numerous half and full marathons, (ultra) trails, cycling tours, and triathlons. I have qualified for the 2024 Ironman World Championships in Hawaii, the birthplace of triathlon.
I see significant similarities between my approach to sports and work: goal oriented, collaborative with a skilled team, and a substantial amount of discipline and perseverance. The journey and relationships formed along the way are as crucial as achieving the goal.

People officer | Agile coach

At Respellion, I feel like a true responsible rebel. On one hand, I can employ my skills as an agile coach and scrum master, and on the other hand, I can contribute to building a modern organizational structure where trust and collaboration are prioritized.
As an agile coach, I work with both traditional and modern management techniques and competencies. I pay attention to the essence of various frameworks but without being dogmatic.
My strength lies in facilitating, guiding, and coaching individuals and teams. I believe that sincere attention to people provides a solid foundation of trust, that allows them to take responsibility and to grow.
I am a husband and father of two children who regularly find me running or cycling in the countryside. As the drummer of the band Eclectic Gems, I occasionally perform in music cafes or festivals to express my creativity.
As a citizen and professional, I value the concept of citizenship and the theory of the commons. We all have a responsibility towards each other and our society. Treating others as you would like to be treated yourself, is a golden rule that I hold dear.

I am a driven and experienced software developer with a broad knowledge of programming languages and techniques. For the past 13 years, I have been involved as a lead developer and scrum master in various complex projects. I have extensive experience in modernizing outdated systems, such as migrating PHP to .NET and implementing Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, I have experience with full-stack development, including work with React, Angular, and MongoDB.
Beyond my technical skills, I am a loyal and socially engaged colleague who enjoys mentoring junior and mid-level developers in their growth process. I value open communication and a healthy work-life balance. In my free time, I am a passionate water polo player who enjoys gourmet cooking and working on home improvement projects. As a father of three young daughters, I find it important to be involved with my family and cherish the small moments.
